About, Claudia Silva

My name is Claudia Silva Aguilera, a multidisciplinary student and creator at UC Santa Barbara, originally from Oxnard, California. I’m currently pursuing a degree in Global Studies, with double minors in Media Arts & Design and Professional Writing.

My work is driven by a curiosity about the ways culture, creativity, and communication intersect across borders. I’m especially interested in how art, music, writing, and digital media can translate experiences, shape identity, and create connections between people and perspectives.

To me, creativity goes beyond aesthetics. Art and music are forms of personal definition, cultural expression, and authentic storytelling. By bringing these interests together with digital media, I aim to create thoughtful narratives that reflect both individual experiences and the larger world around us.

Outside of my academic work, creativity remains a constant part of my life. Whether I’m producing original music, writing, experimenting with visual media, or exploring different cultural landscapes, I’m always looking for new ways to turn ideas and experiences into something meaningful.
